The
CAF is a non-profit organisation.
It was formed in 1985 in
response to a deterioration in inter-racial relationship in Australia.
It began with the aim of raising political awareness within the Chinese
Australian community. It has since evolved and expanded its role
to include involvement in other social and political issues affecting
the democratic process in Australia.
We regard diligent
participation as an essential part of the integration and involvement
of Chinese Australians with the broader Australian community.
By providing a forum for
education and debate as well as responding to topical issues, the CAF
remains a powerful voice for promoting the interests of Chinese
Australians. It remains the only Chinese Australian organisation
in NSW whose main activity is to engage its members and supporters in
the political process in this country.
Initiatives
The CAF aims to build a
harmonious and socially cohesive Australian society through :

issues
The Chinese Australian
Forum is non-partisan, receives no government funding and is completely
independent.
The members donate their
